The Word of God

The-Word-of-God

What is found in the Bible is the best content available in the whole world. Do not think that you can scroll on your electronic device until you find something better than what is found in the Bible; you cannot. We wholeheartedly recommend the reading of the Bible. God’s words are contained in the Bible. When we read a verse, we have to realize that it is God’s speaking.

The Word of God gives us life and the Word of God tells us who God is. When we see God in the Bible, we get affected. Open up to God, contact Jesus Christ in prayer, and dive into God’s word with us.

This series is based primarily on inspiration from the Old Testament books of Exodus and the Psalms as well as inspiration from Life Study of Exodus published by Living Stream Ministry.

The Gospel According to Matthew

00-The-Gospel-According-to-Matthew

The topic of the whole New Testament is the wonderful person of Jesus Christ. The first book of the New Testament is the Gospel According to Matthew. In this first book, the Lord Jesus is presented as the King.

To begin this series, we have to know that we are made with three parts, our body, our soul, and our spirit. The Lord Jesus as the King comes into this deepest part, our human spirit, to live and to reign there.

A typical Bible study in this series presents something about Jesus Christ, then something about what He wants or what He is doing, and finally, what we can do about it. Our goal is never to just learn something for our mere knowledge. Rather, we want to contact the living God in Christ Jesus that He might gain what He’s after in us and through us.

About the Believers

About-The-Believers

Intro

But as many as received Him, to them He gave the authority to become children of God, to those who believe into His name, – John 1:12

Are you a believer? How did you come to believe? Tell us. We’d like to hear from you. Let’s have some mutual fellowship for some mutual encouragement.

  • If you would like to know what we believe in, here at Christians on Campus, check out this other excellent post: The Common Faith.

This Bible study, About the Believers, is not meant to be exhaustive. It’s meant to be a place where there can be that mutual encouragement. How about this: first, be encouraged by simply reading one of the most powerful passages in the whole Bible, the end of Romans chapter 8. When you’re done with that, jump to the Bible studies below.

28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.  29 Because those whom He foreknew, He also predestinated to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the Firstborn among many brothers;  30 And those whom He predestinated, these He also called; and those whom He called, these He also justified; and those whom He justified, these He also glorified.  31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?  32 Indeed, He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not also with Him freely give us all things?  33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s chosen ones? It is God who justifies.  34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ Jesus who died and, rather, who was raised, who is also at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us.  35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation or anguish or persecution or famine or nakedness or peril or sword?  36 As it is written, “For Your sake we are being put to death all day long; we have been accounted as sheep for slaughter.”  37 But in all these things we more than conquer through Him who loved us.  38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life nor angels nor principalities nor things present nor things to come nor powers  39 Nor height nor depth nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Recovery Version)

Our Human Spirit

Our-Human-Spirit -Title

Welcome everybody to a new series on our human spirit. We wouldn’t capitalize the word spirit here because we are not talking about the Holy Spirit who is God Himself but rather that special invisible spiritual part that every human being possesses.

The human spirit is most important.  Zechariah 12:1 ranks the creation of the human spirit with the creation of the heavens and the earth.

Thus declares Jehovah, who stretches forth the heavens and lays the foundations of the earth and forms the spirit of man within him – Zechariah 12:1

The human spirit gives us a way to contact God and have fellowship with Him. With our human spirit we worship God, receive God, and serve God. A Christian is a person who has believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Having such a beginning this one needs to know their human spirit and exercise it. The human spirit is also where the church life takes place. Everything in the Christian life and church life is only real in the human spirit.

Inspired by the book OUR HUMAN SPIRIT, published by Living Stream Ministry, we hope you join us in this most interactive and eye opening Bible study. You can join us live or catch up on your own with the published materials below.

Morning Revival

Morning-Revival

To be revived is simply to be touched by the Lord anew. Everyone can have a morning revival. Without this new beginning every morning, we cannot have a proper Christian life during the day. The best time to be revived is in the morning!

The Heavenly Vision

In the Summer of 2021, a few Christian clubs around the Mountain States gathered on Zoom to talk about the heavenly vision that the Apostle Paul saw during his conversion in Acts 9; the same heavenly vision he mentioned to King Agrippa that he was obedient to throughout his life (Acts  26:19 ).

As we unravel the Heavenly Vision, we see six main things that the apostle Paul saw.

1. The Vision of Christ
2. The
Vision of the Church
3. The Vision of the Body
4. The Vision of the Self
5. The Vision of the World
6. The Vision of Consecration Continue reading “The Heavenly Vision”

A Rare View of Eternity Past

The book of Ephesians in the Bible is a deep book. If we read it too quickly, it is easy to miss God’s thought. We start to explore God’s full salvation in this deep book.

Yes, This is Our Destiny

In this Bible study we zoom in on the first steps of God’s economy and see how they are altogether for God’s goal, which is to gain His many sons.

A Corporate Man Fulfilling God’s Great Plan

Out of the desire of God’s heart, and for the fulfilling of His eternal purpose, God made a decision to create man. He did this in eternity past. The Bible then describes this creation in Genesis.

Finding Out What We Are From the Bible

The title of this Bible study may surprise you or intrigue you. We will consider the importance of knowing what we are, how man is a vessel to contain God, and what the three parts of man are.

A Flowing River and a Tree

A Flowing River and a Tree, this is the first line of a classic hymn. These two represent a certain way that God takes to carry out His eternal purpose.

Praising in the Midst of a Chaotic World

Heb-13-15-Through-Him-then-let-us-offer-up-a-sacrifice-of-Praise

Do you enjoy reading the Psalms in the Bible? We do too! In this Bible study we find many psalms and other scriptures full of praises to our God. Read on to enjoy 1) the deep significance of the praises and why we praise God, and 2) how and when we should praise the Lord. As we open ourselves to God and cover these 7 posts prayerfully, our daily life will start to get filled with praises to God. We will be joyful persons and, even in the midst of the chaotic world around us, God will get all the glory.

“Once the sacrifice of praise ascends to God, the enemy, Satan, is defeated by the praise. The sacrifice of praise is very effective before God. Let your loftiest praises burst forth to God, and you will surely withstand and overcome. When you praise, you will find the way of victory opening wide before your eyes!” (Praising, by Watchman Nee, published by Living Stream Ministry)

The Common Faith

The common faith is what we believe in. This is what we stand for and contend for. We can be general about so many other things, but with the common faith, we should be precise and unwavering. It is common because all genuine believers have it in common and treasure it. For our college years, for our working life, and for our whole life, it is important to be equipped with the knowledge of the common faith; this is a fundamental need of all Christians. This Bible study presents 8 items of the common faith that we can count on and treasure for our whole life. Item by item, we will be able to express what we believe in.
